Forget auld acquaintance and herald the new year with a fresh start in a fresh place...

New Year's Eve this year fortuitously falls on a Saturday giving you the perfect excuse for a long weekend getaway.  Where better to spend some time celebrating but in one of our Hogmanay hot-spots where you can eschew the cramped city quarters, come back to (or dare way say collapse into) a cosy leisure vehicle and spend the next day indulging in a lie-in, a leisurely brunch  and maybe a cobweb-busting brisk walk in some glorious fresh air. That’s the way to start off a brand new year.

EDINBURGH

Situated on the Firth of Forth, the caravan park provides easy access to Edinburgh, Europe's festival capital and surely the grandaddy of all Hogmanay celebrations. The site is only a stone’s throw away from the waterfront where campers can walk along the promenade of Cramond and, only a short drive away, visitors can enjoy the popular coastal suburb of Portobello with its pubs, restaurants and shops.

Always game for a party, Brighton will celebrate in style this New Year.  To join in then try Brighton Caravan Club Site is ideally located just 2 miles east of Brighton. Nestled within a fold of the South Downs and just a short distance inland from the Marina, the picturesque caravan park offers easy access via a regular bus route to the many attractions of this popular town. Abbey Wood site is just 35 minutes away from central London so is the ideal location if you want to party on the Thames this New Years. Alternatively, nearby Greenwich offers its own blend of fascinating attractions, including the famous observatory and National Maritime Museum. Why not take in the twinkling lights on a river cruise which operate between nearby Greenwich the length of the Thames to Hampton Court.
