National GetOutside Day is back this Sunday 29th September. Across our nation, there are almost 20 million people who want to get outside, but for some reason don’t, and are therefore missing out on lots of fun memories.

GetOutside is the initiative for everyone brought to you by Ordnance Survey. The aim is to rally the nation by asking a simple question: ‘Will you go out with me?’… and then taking someone outside for the day.

GetOutside Day in the rain

This is the perfect opportunity to talk to more people, show them how good it feels to be outside and make new friends. From those that want to be a bit more active, to those who climb mountains the hard way and everyone in between! This is about getting people moving and having fun.

GetOutside Day with the dog

Imagine the difference we could make if we all invited one or two extra people out for the day, who wouldn’t normally choose to go outside. Whether you choose to take part in a local event, go on a family bike ride, asking friends to go out for a walk or trying a new outdoor activity, anything goes!

Our great country is beautiful, and this is your chance to show someone the best the outdoors has to offer.
