We got together with the Caravan and Motorhome Club to bring you a round up of some of the finest beaches the UK has to offer as well as nearby club sites. The sites are open to non-members as well as members, however if you are interested in joining the Caravan & Motorhome Club you can find out all about their membership benefits here.

Worthing Beach, West Sussex

The sand and shingle beach at Worthing is well worth a visit, with the stunning beach on one side and the glamorous town on the other there is sure to be something for everyone. At low tide, the rock pools become visible and are a haven for tiny sea creatures, bring your buckets and nets! The Pier is home to a café serving all sorts of cold and hot snacks throughout the year, as well as everyone’s favourite penny arcades and amusements. The perfectly located site at Northbrook Farm is sat just on the edge of the South Downs National Park, whilst the beach is in walking distance.

Worthing Beach

Brighton Beach, Sussex

The classic seafront at Brighton is everything you’d want from a day out at the beach, sticks of rock, fish and chips all in abundance, as well as the iconic Brighton Palace Pier. The pebble beach is vast in size, stretching for over 5 miles with a number of beach huts and chalets along the promenade, you will also come across the remains of the once popular ‘West Pier’ with the metal infrastructure hard to miss. The Brighton Club Site is only a short walk away from Brighton Marina, providing you with the perfect base to explore the area.

Brighton Beach

Whitley Bay, North Tyneside

Located on the eastern side of Newcastle sits Whitley Bay Beach, a sandy coastline with outstanding views out over the North Sea. The rugged coastline has a classic seaside town feel about it with many opting for fish and chips and maybe even some ice cream if the weather is favourable. The walk along the promenade can be enjoyed throughout the year with many café’s providing the perfect opportunity to refuel. The Old Hartley Club Site is located further along the coast, towards the 19th century St Mary’s Lighthouse, a short walk from the beach and town of Whitley Bay.

Whitley Bay

West Runton Beach, Norfolk 

A part of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Beauty, West Runton Beach will not disappoint. Famous for numerous discoveries of prehistoric mammals in the form of a fossil, the cliffs at West Runton are ridden with fossils dating back thousands of years. The area is also home to the largest chalk reef in all of Europe, attracting all sorts of unique sea creatures as well as being a superb spot for surfing and scuba diving. If you head slightly further inland there are a range of walks set amongst some stunning scenery, all of which form the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

West Runton Beach

Whitesands Bay, Haverfordwest

A spectacular backdrop comprised of the Carn Llidi, a hill vast in size as well as the stunning scenery that surrounds it makes Whitesands Bay one of most picturesque beaches in the UK. The large sandy beach also attracts many surfers from the region, due to it’s geographical location right on the western most point of Wales waves can be ridden throughout the year. Staying at St David’s Leithyr Meadow Club Site will act as the perfect base to further explore the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with popular towns of Little Haven and St Brides well worth a visit.

Whitesands Bay

Slapton Sands, Devon

Only a short walk away from Start Bay Caravan and Motorhome Club Site sits the beautiful pebble beach at Slapton Sands, stretching for over 2 miles across the Devon coastline with stunning views out over the British Channel. The stretch of beach rather uniquely separates the Slapton Ley Lake from the Sea, with the narrow beach acting as a divide between sea and lake. The surrounding café’s and shops as well as the scenic surroundings and brightly painted houses make a trip to Slapton Sands one to remember.
