The celebration of Halloween dates back many years, however the tradition and celebration continues to live on. We continue to carve pumpkins, paint our faces and trick or treat amongst many other traditions.

1 - Terrifying Tours of the Commandery

As Halloween approaches, visiting the Commandery is a must. With a wide range of activities on throughout the week this is sure to get you in the Halloween spirit. Whether it be a terrifying tour, hearing stories of creepy characters that have been spotted in the grounds in the last 1000 years or joining in with the ghost hunt as you look to identify those who call the grounds home. 2 - Halloween at Bellingham 

Head to Bellingham Camping and Caravanning Site on the 28th October for some spooky Halloween celebrations. There will be the chance to hold an owl amongst other birds of prey, as well as the chance to take part in the pumpkin carving competition.
The evening celebrations will kick off with a family friendly film at 5pm followed by some drinks and nibbles with the pumpkin carving competition winners announced shortly after. Don’t forget your scary costume!

3 - Batty About Bats - Worcestershire

Why not explore the wonderful world of Bats this Halloween at Witley Court. You will have the opportunity to explore the grounds where the bats call home and find out exactly what attracts them to Witley Court, there will also be a chance to check out their ‘Bat Cam’. This will be followed by a pumpkin trail, this is a great opportunity to get out with the family this Halloween.

There is also the chance to join in the fun at Wolverley Camping and Caravanning Site on the 28th October. The site will be holding a family fancy dress Halloween party in their recreational hall suitable for all ages, pop down for all sorts of Halloween fun and games. Make sure you come in fancy dress!

4 - RHS Wisley – Surrey

5 - Creepy Castle - Dartmouth

6 - Spooky Tunnels Cinema – Dover

Head to Dover Castle this Halloween to give yourself a fright! Each night from 26th - 29th the Castle will be putting on a cinema display from within the haunted wartime tunnels, ranging from Bram Stokers Dracula to The Woman in Black. This is not for the faint hearted, so sit back, tuck into the popcorn and try to enjoy to the film!
